Friday we were fortunate to have guests from the Mass Audubon Society come visit third grade and teach students more about classifying animals. Students got to touch feathers, shells, and snake skin. Some students dressed up as animals and classmates got to observe what features they had. Our presenter, Shane Elliot, also brought along two friends: a snake & an owl. Both were very calm animals and I was impressed by how brave the children were! They had many questions for our wonderful guest so I told them Thursday after we take the MAP test they can write letters to Mr. Elliot at the Mass Audubon Society asking him their questions. He said he would do his best to write back and that he loves receiving letters.
